Highly specialized boutique clothing, such as personalized and smocked clothing, is often not worn as frequently as everyday wear. Because of its custom nature, this type of clothing is often considerably more expensive than regular clothing.

At Smockadot Kids, we offer the same high-end boutique quality, but without the additional expense. Our dedication is to providing you with all the adorable clothing items you've always wanted at a price that is affordable to you!

Smockadot Kids was founded by a mother of boy/girl twins. Originally from the North, she had not been exposed to smocked clothing. When relocated to sunny South Carolina, she quickly fell in love with all of the adorable smocked bishop dresses, smocked shortalls, smocked jon jons and even smocked pants sets that she saw in the local boutiques.

After giving birth to triplets, she was excited about the possibility of dressing them in cute, hand smocked clothing designs. However, she was quickly dismayed at how expensive they were!

Seeing a need for adorable kids' clothing that was priced for a young family, she began to research quality companies that created clothing at lower prices.

When she lost one of her precious sons at three months old, she realized how important it was to enjoy every moment with her twins. After much prayer, research, and the growing desire to eventually work at home, Smockadot Kids was born!

Even before she had her own children, her love of kids has inspired her throughout her life. She has worked as a special needs teacher, a fifth grade teacher, a curriculum coordinator, and both middle school and elementary school assistant principals.

After some time in the online boutique world, she hopes to one day offer wholesale clothing to other businesses. Eventually, she would also like to open her own brick-and-mortar store to bring affordable clothing to her local community.
